Magnuson Children’s Garden- Family Gardening Days

Would you like to help sustain one of Seattle’s largest and most vibrant public children’s gardens?  Join the volunteers from Seattle Works, Master Gardeners, Magnuson P-Patch, and other groups to do simple tasks in the Magnuson Children’s Garden, such as trimming perennials, mulching, and tidying up.  Free childrens activities are provided at each event, including worm bin exploration and nature art sculptures.  Favorite child-friendly garden tasks are spreading wood chips, refilling bird baths and puddling ponds, and watering plants. No prior gardening experience necessary, stay for however long you want, and tools, gloves, and refreshments are provided for all child and adult volunteers! Students will receive service-learning credit. It’s a great way to spend time as a family and to help keep this much-loved garden healthy and beautiful.
