Join in the excitement of these weekly nature adventures! Each three-week series of classes has a different theme for its park explorations and hands-on activities, from classroom and garden experiments to “snack walks” in our organic p-patch, hikes to favorite nature spots, and much, much more! All our adventures are designed to foster your child’s observation skills, provide them with a deeper understanding and inspired connection to the natural world.

Wetland Wonders: The World of Frogs, Dragonflies, & Ducks!
Thursday afternoons May 15th, 22nd & 29th from 4 pm – 5:30 pm
Fee: $55
Class #116227
Magnuson Park is also home to one of the largest populations of tree frogs and dragonflies in the Puget Sound area! We’ll take pond water samples to explore the world “down under” to see how many tadpoles, froglets, and dragonfly nymphs are getting ready to take off to the sky or a nearby tree, and guess how many bugs it takes to feed a duck for a day. We’ll count the families of ducklings, make duck identification guides, and much much more!
