1.  To register or pay in person for any of our nature programs, come to Magnuson Community Center at 7110 62nd Ave NE.  It is inside a large, historic brick-and-stucco building that also houses the Seattle Musical Theater.  Enter through the triple glass front doors on the south end of the building, which lead directly into the lobby and reception desk area.

2. All our nature camps and classes begin in our Hawthorne Hills Room classroom inside the Brig building at 6344 NE 74th St.  The Brig is a large, one-story, beige stucco building, located just a few blocks from the community center.   Enter through the double glass doors on either side, both of which lead into the central lobby.  The Hawthorne Hills Room is just off the lobby.  Look for our colorful Magnuson Nature Programs sign!

3. Family Garden Days, stewardship events, and “Life-in-the-Garden” school field trips are held in the Magnuson Children’s Garden, located right behind the Brig building!   The Children’s Garden is also directly across NE 74th St. from the park’s main playground and W-6 parking lot. Use the crosswalk at the 4-way stop, take a few steps down the sidewalk, then look on your left for the giant mosaic eyes and tail of the Grey Whale Garden!

Arriving by car:  The main entrance to Magnuson Park is at the intersection of Sand Point Way NE and NE 74th St.  The Community Center is only 1 block east and 1 block south of this park entrance, and the Brig and Children’s Garden are 3 blocks east of this entrance.

There is a large parking lot on the south end of the Community Center building.  The closest parking to the Brig and Children’s Garden is in the small lot in front of the Brig building (1-hr. limit) and in the large Jr. League Playground lot (no time limit) labeled #W6 on the Magnuson Park map above.

Arriving by bus:  Bus route #75 stops at the intersection of Sand Point Way NE and NE 74th St, which is the main entrance to Magnuson Park.  The Community Center is only 1 block east and 1 block south of this park entrance, and the Brig and Children’s Garden are 3 blocks east of this entrance.  The #74 Express, which runs during rush hours only, also stops at the park entrance.

Arriving by bicycle:  Enter Magnuson Park at the Sand Point Way NE and NE 65th St. entrance (There is a protected bike lane from the Burke-Gilman trail to this intersection).  The safest route is to ride down the hill to the second left turn at Sportsfield Drive, then take Sportfield Drive to the first 4-way stop. There are bike racks in front of the Brig building and at the Jr. League playground.
